Avatar Futures, Immersive Entertainment and Content Mediated Reality

My name is Jeremy Welt, and I'm exploring the future of Immersive Media, and the convergence of video, humans, technology and culture.

I started my career in the recoding studio, working with a diverse range of artists from Dr, Dre and Eric Clapton to Marilyn Manson.

After teaching myself to build websites, I combined it with love of music which led to 12 years at Warner Music Group. Exploring the first wave of digital disruption and the emergence of social media through in collaboration with Artists big and small. I'm especially proud of the early work I did with YouTube, making Warner their first ever commercial partner.

My love of Youtube lead me to Maker Studios, where I joined an early crew of incredible creators, and helped lead the company to the acquisition by Disney. Now an advisor and investor in VR, and the next generation creators in virtual reality or whatever form "next" takes.

I'll be blogging about some of my projects, ideas, and attempts to launch new experiences.
